Kalang & Bellinger Rivers, NSW, Australia: Situated on the stunning Mid North Coast of NSW, the two rivers Kalang and Bellinger, flow into the ocean at the town of Urunga.
As a fun, family and pet-friendly paddle, this trip was designed to be a weekend getaway. With Mark (dad), Mother SUPer (Mum), Sandy Nixon (pet dog) and myself, we set off for our overnight paddle along the Kalang and Bellinger Rivers.
An extra mode of transport was added to this journey in the form of a fold up bicycle, solving the dilemma of retrieving our car from the starting point. Mother SUPer had carefully considered all options and the bicycle was by far the best way to reach our car, 8km from the end point.
